It is harvested exclusively by hand , once the perfect level of ripeness has been reached, and then sent to the best supermarkets and fruit and vegetable shops throughout the peninsula.
iLcamone is a round, smooth and medium-small sized tomato.
Its particular dark red color, with intense green streaks, is its first distinctive element.
The green part can be more or less extensive depending on the degree of ripeness of the fruit, but it must always be clearly visible, and this is what differentiates iLcamone from other varieties of round salad tomatoes.
